For generator exhausts we recommend wrapping the exhaust in a fiberglass muffler insulating tape, which is widely available from automotive stores and online. For very hot exhausts you may need to place an aluminum tube around the exhaust pipe to create an additional barrier between the exhaust and the AirSkirts tube.
